Leading institution teams with Interfolio to support all stages of the academic journey
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — September 9, 2020 — DePaul University, ranked among the nation’s most innovative schools by U.S. News & World Report in 2019, announces today its expansion of faculty technology with Interfolio, creator of the Faculty Information System. With the addition of Interfolio Lifecycle Management to its portfolio, DePaul further supports its faculty with a platform for hiring, review and promotion, activity reporting, and academic appointments.
With the Lifecycle Management module, DePaul gains a professional system of record for its faculty members’ academic appointments, workloads, and professional review timelines. This central faculty affairs technology gives administrators a secure, trusted source to inform decision-making and budget planning.
“Many existing enterprise systems are not designed for higher education. Interfolio stands apart because of its focus on faculty,” says Alyssa Kupka, Chief of Staff and Senior Associate Vice President at DePaul. “Adopting Lifecycle Management is the last piece in completing our faculty technology ecosystem. Now, our academic data will be organized in Interfolio for all of our major processes rather than inconsistently located across a variety of systems.”
This past year, DePaul launched faculty hiring and promotion and tenure cases with Interfolio. In addition to streamlining administrative time, these systems allow DePaul to ensure faculty processes align with the institution’s core values of diversity and social justice. For example, all EEO reporting on faculty job applicants will run through the Faculty Search module in the fall, and activity reporting will track diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) faculty work, which can also feed into review cycles. “The flexibility of Interfolio to meet our institutional goals has been critical to its adoption and buy-in on campus,” says Kupka.
“DePaul University immediately understood the vision of the Faculty Information System and how it would be transformational for their campus. With the addition of Lifecycle Management, DePaul realizes this vision, bolstering future institutional success with this investment in faculty,” states Andrew Rosen, CEO of Interfolio.
