After a long process of tweaking, bending, and shaping Interfolio’s visual identity throughout 2016 to find a look that matches who we are now, we are excited to present Interfolio’s new set of colors and styles. The new look improves your day-to-day in-product experience with simplified interactions, an enhanced color palette, and a user interface that draws focus to what’s important.
Following many months of listening to our customers and increasingly seeing the need for a visual change, we began to build out our new design system by redesigning our logo and rebranding our identity. The new logo’s smooth lines and curves, crisp blue, and iconography gave us a great foundation to build upon.
From that foundation, we added in a new color palette—Dark Navy, Sea Blue, Mint Green, Bright Coral and Dusty Plum—and a primary sans-serif font. The new color palette evokes a playful, modern yet professional feeling. Aside from a visual uplift, this well rounded color palette allows us to convey different interactions and patterns that we were unable to achieve before.
Raleway, our new primary font, improves legibility and overall modern aesthetic. The characters in the font are very symmetrical, creating an open and expansive feel. It also allows us to present information in new ways without it feeling overwhelming or heavy.
Interfolio’s new look arises at the beginning of a new era in our vision and our role in the future of higher education. We expect our design choices to continue to enhance your overall experience, consistent with the ethos and priorities of our academic partners. We hope you are as excited about our new look as we are, and look forward to hearing your feedback!
