Northern Arizona University became an Interfolio client partner in 2011. They currently use Interfolio Review, Promotion & Tenure and Faculty Activity Reporting (Faculty180). NAU wanted to perform electronic annual faculty reviews, promotion, and tenure evaluations, and sabbatical reviews. The University’s manual evaluation systems were difficult to implement, especially with faculty members located at dispersed campuses. NAU was able to migrate their manual, paper-based evaluation processes into Interfolio’s cloud-based environment. Now, faculty activities are collected electronically, and evaluation workflows are performed more efficiently online. As a result, the physical location of faculty members and evaluators is not an issue.
“In addition to addressing our commitment to sustainability and our geographically dispersed faculty, at NAU we were interested in finding a way for faculty members to enter data one time only—with a way for us to access these data efficiently for multiple purposes. Faculty Activity Reporting (Faculty180) provided us with the system we needed to streamline efforts and promote a lot of good work.”
