Top research institution taps Interfolio to establish a unified faculty affairs system and streamline faculty promotion, tenure, and review process.

LAS VEGAS, NV – April 30, 2019 – The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), today announced the launch of an ambitious new initiative designed to bring critical academic processes and scholarly activity tracking into a central digital environment.

Through a partnership with Interfolio, UNLV faculty and administrators can now utilize the Interfolio platform, which includes a full suite of faculty-focused technology to support every stage in the faculty lifecycle, from hiring through tenure.

“As a public institution, it’s critical for us to demonstrate the major economic and social impact that we have on our community, and the best way to do that is to showcase the work of our faculty,” said Tondra De, director of faculty affairs at UNLV. “The Faculty Information System helps us better quantify and communicate the immense impact that our faculty have on their students, within their professional disciplines, and on our community and state.”

The Interfolio system streamlines common tasks that previously required multiple systems to complete, which lightens the administrative load on faculty and frees up valuable time for teaching, research, and service.

“UNLV is a large, diverse institution and its faculty are known across the country for their teaching and research expertise,” said Andrew Rosen, CEO of Interfolio. “We’re proud to partner with UNLV to provide their dedicated faculty with tools that not only give them more time for teaching and research, but also surface their work for the greater good of the university, community, and state.”
