Asian Institute of Management taps Interfolio’s Faculty Information System to attract and retain world-class faculty workforce and accelerate international expansion

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – October 31, 2019 – The Asian Institute of Management (AIM), the first international school of business in Southeast Asia to receive accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), today announced the launch of a new platform to provide their faculty workforce with holistic support throughout their entire academic lifecycle at the institution. Through a partnership with Interfolio, provider of their Faculty Information System, current and prospective faculty can now access a single workflow and reporting platform to accomplish critical tasks related to recruitment, promotion, and reporting processes.

“As a truly international institution serving executives and aspiring business leaders from nations across Southeast Asia, it’s imperative that we recruit and cultivate an academic workforce as global as the students we serve,” said Jammu Francisco, Associate Dean at the Asian Institute of Management. “Our engagement with Interfolio will enable us to maintain our competitive edge by attracting and retaining internationally-recognized research and teaching talent, while empowering current faculty with the tools to focus on teaching, scholarship, and service.”

With Interfolio, AIM will translate critical activities related to faculty recruitment, retention and development into streamlined, digital processes managed in an easy-to-use online environment. Using the Interfolio platform, faculty can more easily apply for open positions as internal candidates, manage review and promotion workflows, tell their holistic academic story and submit letters of recommendation. Administrators, meanwhile, will also use the platform to seamlessly share materials and collaborate during the hiring, review and promotion processes, reducing the burden of critical, often time-consuming administrative tasks.

With the Faculty Activity Reporting module, faculty can also use the Interfolio platform to curate and share research accomplishments, conference attendance and other scholarly activity, which they can also use during the review and promotion processes. The achievements shared using the platform will then feed into the institution’s ongoing international accreditation efforts.

The new rollout of the technology platform is part of AIM’s efforts to improve teaching and learning and increase efficiency across the institution through the adoption of new technology. AIM has earned accolades for its emphasis on innovation, including taking top honors for Technological Innovation of the Year at THE Awards Asia 2019.

“Talent knows no borders when it comes to world-class faculty. As graduate institutions operate in an increasingly global context, innovation in faculty recruitment and engagement is fast-becoming a prerequisite for competing on the international stage,” said Andrew Rosen, CEO of Interfolio. “AIM is defining a new standard for graduate education in the region, and their deep commitment to faculty development and innovation is a major driver of that success.”

BELLINGHAM, WA – October 24, 2019 – Interfolio announced today that it has been selected by Western Washington University to employ its platform enabling faculty to complete review, promotion, and tenure processes and allow current faculty and administrators to review their peers and evaluate tenure and promotion candidates’ qualifications and backgrounds.

Through its partnership with faculty information system Interfolio, faculty and administrators at Western will now have access to a single platform for the review, promotion, and tenure processes. Using the Interfolio platform, members of the university’s faculty committees can share candidate materials with the appropriate university administrators and solicit letters of recommendation, streamlining the review process while maintaining existing workflows. Promotion and tenure committee members can now review applicant materials within the Interfolio platform, allowing them to more efficiently and quickly read the necessary documents.

“We knew that in order to sustain our success, we needed to create a more seamless process to support the faculty who are so critical to our growing institution,” said Austin Cooper, Faculty Relations manager at Western Washington University. “With Interfolio, we now have the infrastructure to run efficient review, promotion, and tenure processes, where faculty accomplishments can be put on display.”

Promotion candidates receive clear instructions on the tenure process along with simple tools to build a professional-looking digital packet of their materials, ensuring that they have the information necessary to be successful.

“Too often, the tenure process is an arduous process that requires applicants and review committee members alike to focus on completing menial tasks like sharing documents rather than the important work of evaluating candidates’ qualifications,” said Andrew Rosen, CEO of Interfolio. “We’re excited to partner with forward-looking institutions like Western Washington University that are working proactively to create and maintain the best possible faculty promotion processes.”

Association of American Law Schools announces new partnership with faculty information system Interfolio to create a single application platform for institutions and candidates

WASHINGTON, DC – October 8, 2019 – The Association of American Law Schools (AALS), a nonprofit association of 179 member law schools, today announced a new faculty recruitment platform to enable candidates to seamlessly apply for open positions and institutions to easily review qualified candidates.

As the law school faculty hiring process evolves, there is growing interest from candidates and recruiters to streamline this experience and improve the hiring process.

Through a partnership with faculty recruitment platform Interfolio, AALS will provide candidates with an easy-to-use platform where they can upload their resumes and distribute them to law schools across the country. Schools can then use the same platform to review candidate resumes and qualifications and select who they would like to interview during the annual AALS conference. The platform will launch in spring 2020.

“In this changing law teaching landscape, it is critical for our member institutions to have access to a system that makes the application process easier for candidates and institutions alike,” said Judy Areen, Executive Director of the Association of American Law Schools. “Through this partnership with Interfolio, law schools and prospective law faculty will have access to a platform that is specifically designed for academics and their needs.”

The Interfolio platform allows candidates to display their teaching, research, and service accomplishments, such as published research. Through this new partnership, using the Interfolio platform, law school hiring committees will be able to seamlessly collaborate while reviewing candidates for open positions. Additionally, Interfolio’s Faculty Search module can be customized by each institution to fit their unique workflows, ensuring that existing best practices remain in place.

“Representing the nation’s top law schools, the Association of American Law Schools provides an important connection between law schools and scholars interested in their open academic positions,” said Andrew Rosen, CEO of  Interfolio. “With our platform, AALS can better support and streamline the application process for scholars while also helping its member institutions to review and recruit talent from across the world.”

About AALS

The Association of American Law Schools (AALS), founded in 1900, is a nonprofit association of 179 member and 19 fee-paid law schools. Its members enroll most of the nation’s law students and produce the majority of the country’s lawyers and judges, as well as many of its lawmakers. The mission of AALS is to uphold and advance excellence in legal education. In support of this mission, AALS promotes the core values of excellence in teaching and scholarship, academic freedom, and diversity, including diversity of backgrounds and viewpoints, while seeking to improve the legal profession, to foster justice, and to serve our many communities–local, national and international.
