Come meet us at the CUPA-HR 2018 Annual Conference and Expo!

Do you wish faculty hiring, promotion, and activity data reporting processes at your university could be more cost-effective and consistent?

At the CUPA-HR 2018 Annual Conference and Expo, we’d love to meet you, learn about your institution’s particular challenges, and share how we’ve helped with these administrative necessities around faculty members at our client universities.

For just one example, the Human Resources office at the University of Florida sought out Interfolio for a major hiring initiative after seeing a presentation at CUPA-HR from a different client institution.

By handling such administrative concerns more efficiently and transparently—and freeing up academic staff members’ time so they can focus on students or research—the human resources office can build a needed bridge between academic staff and institutional administration, and can help the university have a greater impact overall.

With over 275 client institutions throughout higher education, Interfolio leads the market in innovative development of technology designed specifically to benefit both institutions and their faculty.

This training webinar, meant for Administrator users in Interfolio Review, Promotion & Tenure, introduces two upcoming changes affecting candidate packets:

  • Packet layout changes. We will be changing the visual layout of the candidate packet so that the administrator view and the candidate view will resemble each other much more closely.
  • Reusing past case materials. We will be adding the ability for an Administrator to pre-populate a candidate’s case with suggested materials pulled from that candidate’s past cases, which the candidate can accept, edit, or remove.

In addition to the new features, this webinar is a great opportunity to get a refresher on what the candidates will encounter, and how to manage that experience on the administrative end.

The University of Louisville taps Interfolio, creator of higher education’s faculty information system, to provide a campus-wide digital solution for faculty review, promotion, tenure, and activity reporting.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – September 18, 2018 – The University of Louisville, a prominent public research institution, has partnered with Interfolio to better support shared governance practices and improve managing data throughout the faculty lifecycle. Using Interfolio’s digital platform, the university aims to enable faculty to devote more time to teaching and research by streamlining faculty data management, promotion, and tenure processes.

“We had multiple systems to track faculty information that created a lot of redundancy,” said Tracy Eells, Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs. “We wanted to alleviate the pain points for our faculty through time savings, ease of use, and consolidation of information we request from them. In addition, we wanted to make it easier on review committees for all key decision processes—like promotion and tenure, annual reviews, post-tenure reviews, contract renewals, and sabbaticals.”

Designed for the unique needs of faculty, Interfolio’s platform provides a full suite of faculty-focused technology to support every stage in the faculty lifecycle, from hiring through tenure. Decision makers found Interfolio’s expertise and commitment aligned well with the University’s vision for how faculty and administrators should engage with and benefit from campus technology.

Additional considerations related to benefits for administrators, as noted by Paula Hensel, Director of Faculty Affairs, “We had no way to track faculty data centrally to support our workflows. We wanted to move to an electronic system, away from the paper-based personnel action processes, to achieve increased efficiencies.”

“The University of Louisville is a model of a forward-thinking metropolitan research university committed to having an impact on the local and global communities,” said Andrew Rosen, CEO, Interfolio. “The opportunity to partner with a major institution focused on advancing its mission by advancing its faculty is truly extraordinary.”
