This month’s webinar in the Interfolio Presents series addresses a major strategic priority at virtually all U.S. colleges and universities today: diversifying the faculty. We are thrilled that we could contribute to this undertaking and the conversation around it—both with this presentation, and with the technology involved. Watch the recording

We’ll be hearing from Autumn Reed, Ph.D, Program Coordinator for Faculty Diversity Initiatives at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County (UMBC), one of Interfolio’s partner institutions. Based in the UMBC Provost’s Office (and playing leadership roles in STRIDE and ADVANCE), Dr. Reed spends her workdays ensuring that UMBC’s colleges, departments, administrators, and committees make good on the university’s formal commitment to grow an appropriately diverse faculty body.

And how does she do that? Well, in part, with the organizational and data-collection tools in Interfolio’s ByCommittee platform.

She’ll get into the details herself, but basically, Dr. Reed takes advantage of ByCommittee’s reporting engine and organizational toolbox to analyze the job applicant pool at various stages during any given faculty search. It enables her to keep, say, the college deans informed about the diversity status of various searches, with empirical evidence that’s been automatically gathered.

In addition to a presentation from Dr. Reed, this webinar will include a brief demonstration of ByCommittee (under 10 minutes) and a Q&A session with her and UMBC’s dedicated Client Success Manager at Interfolio, Wazhma Saidi.

As you can imagine, we already have a ton of people signed up for this webinar. We’re talking a lot about it ourselves, around the office. Register now to secure your spot!
